•Shanti Memorial Hospital is a token homage and tribute to late Mrs. SHANTILATA PATNAIK, wife of Late GOPAL CHANDRA PATNAIK.

•Her son Dr. SREEJOY PATNAIK, who presently owns this hospital, had dreamt of building up a hospital, after the name of  his mother.

It was  her last wish that her youngest heir should become a doctor to give service to the poor and the needy.

This led to the birth of Shanti Hospital  in 1991 April  with 10 beds initially and  is presently it has grown up to a 100 beded hospital, one among the premier and best private sector hospitals of the state.
